New Year’s Resolution – A New Job!

Turning the corner into a new year sparks one resolution that many employees have in common – find a new job.  As reported by Glassdoor, nearly 1 in 5 will be looking for new jobs within the first 3 months of 2013.

The playing field for non-cash perks is nearly level – casual work environment, opportunity to work remotely at times and flexible work hours are common.  As we reported last month in our WOW Candidate Experience, employers need to stand out and create X factor moments – not just to attract those you are interviewing and hope to land, but to hang on to the top talent you hope to retain.

As employees pick their heads up and consider making a change, it’s a reminder to employers to double down on creative ways to keep their top talent engaged and rewarded!

Hear more from Bloomberg’s Dominic Chu on Glassdoor’s findings.

Remote work changes everything in talent management — the continued growth of technology, social media, and easy communications now makes it possible for most knowledge work and team activities to occur remotely. Allowing top talent to work “wherever they want to work” improves retention and makes recruiting dramatically easier.
